In 2004, the Global Metrolink fleet was joined by Embraer E170s, operated by New York Airlines, and in 2005 the slightly larger E175s also began to join the fleet - these were operated by New York Airlines in the Northeast, as well as by Orange Airlines out of Miami. Assisted by the CRJ-700 (which was flown by various contract carriers out of all three of Global Airlines' hubs), these Embraers helped retire the aging BAe 146s and modernize the Metrojet fleet.
