Hellenic's 767 fleet began its life in 1995 after the order of 767-300ERs to replace the A300B4 on dense regional routes and eventually, assisting in replacing the 747 Classic on slim long haul routes in 2003. That same year, the 300ER was supplemented by the introduction of the 200ER and 400ER, with the latter replacing the A310-300 and providing ultra-long haul connections to Australia, and the former completing the 747 replacement programme by taking over the capital routes, complimented by the 300ER. These 3 variants formed Hellenic's modern long haul fleet for nearly 3 decades. In later years, the 200ER would be transferred to operate busy regional routes due to the MAX groundings and the fleet nearing the end of its life, being replaced by the 787-8 on intercontinental routes.
The 767s are expected to leave the airline by 2025, with retirement having already been commenced in 2015 for older models of the 300ER. This process is being considered to be expedited with the outbreak of Covid-19 and its effects on the air travel industry.
While Hellenic also operates the 767 Freighter, they will appear under a different poster.
