Aerorico | 2016-present | Airbus A220-300

Aerorico was a faithful operator of the DC-9 family of aircraft from its beginnings in the 1980s with used DC-9s to the Boeing 717. However, as the airline's small fleet of MD-90 and 717 jets began to show their age, the airline sought a replacement. They found it in the Bombardier C-Series (now the Airbus A220). The airline placed orders for 10 examples (plus 10 options) and took delivery of the first in early 2017.

Unfortunately, the damage inflicted on Puerto Rico by Hurricane Maria in late 2017 forced the airline to delay delivery of the remaining A220s and relocate some of its aircraft and crews to Florida. However, by late 2019 the airline was ready to continue receiving aircraft. Aerorico plans to take delivery of all its remaining A220s by the end of 2020 and is considering exercising its 10 options in order to expand its base in Fort Meyers, FL and serve secondary airports in the Eastern USA.

Damn, nice one! Love the colours here :P

    Love it!

Interesting how you took the red and blue and made them a lot more "tropical". Nice!

This is nice and festive, I like it!

Can't say I'm a huge fan, but it's growing on me. Nice lore though.

    I love it!

    ^ thanks everyone! :D

I wasn't sure about this at first, but this has grown on me. I particularly like the sails on the tail. Also I would love to see some history to this airline, with a retro 80's livery on a DC-9 like the lore says
