Deutsche Hanseatic Boeing 747-100 "1970-1984"

One of the original operators of the Boeing 747, Hanseatic placed an order for 12 airplanes in 1969. These aircraft flew from the hubs in Dusseldorf and Munich, and later from Berlin's Tegel Airport, in conjunction with Vanguard Airlines' European coalition services. The 747-100 would have a relatively short lifespan with Hanseatic, being replaced by the upgraded 747-200 in 1980. Some 747-100s were converted for use as freighters with the airlines' cargo division, but most were sold off to other airlines.

D-ABHA is named for Berlin and bears its coat of arms.
