Malaya Air's New Livery on Boeing 737-800 New Generation

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft are the backbone of the Malaysian flag carrier's regional fleet. Malaya Air flies the Boeing 737 on various domestic flights and short-haul regional flights within Asia-Pacific. The current 737 fleet features 16 Business Class recliner seats and 144 earlier version of the carrier's award-winning Economy Class seats. Although these aircraft mainly fly on routes with an average flight time of 2-3 hours, the 737 also fly on longer routes to Darwin, Nanjing, and Zhengzhou.

All Malaya Air Boeing 737 aircraft are slated to undergo refurbishment starting end-2020. These aircraft will be retrofitted with a new Business Class cabin featuring direct aisle lie-flat seats, as well as a new Economy Class cabin to be upgraded with Malaya Air's new Economy Class seats, currently featured on the airline's long-haul fleet. These upgrades will eventually maximise comfort and satisfaction among customers, as the airline plans to use the 737 to add more medium-haul destinations to its network.
