In 2020, British International's A330-200 retirement process began, with five aircraft of the type being transferred to Astra - the BritJet Group sister-brand. These were retrofitted with new interiors (see seatmap below), featuring 30 B/E Aerospace Diamond seats in Business Class, and 279 seats in Economy. This was a significantly more dense configuration than the one found on British International's A330s, achieved partially through more efficient use of space through the installation of galleys and lavatories more similar to those found on A330neos. In 2020, Astra began service from London Gatwick to Newark, Washington DC, Miami, and Toronto using these A330s. No more A330-200s will be received by Astra, with the other British International ones going to other airlines.

In 2021, Astra will take delivery of three A330-900neos out of an order for 15. However, deliveries are planned to be staggered significantly, with two arriving each year after that, eventually replacing the rather old A330-200s currently flown by Astra. The A330neos will feature 42 seats in Business and 284 in Economy, increasing capacity significantly. They are planned to began flights to Tokyo and Hong Kong by the middle of 2021.
