Polaris / ATR 72-600 (Original)

Polaris / ATR 72-600 (Original)

Don't tend to original designs as I don't feel that's my forte, but I gave it a go as I quite liked this idea.

Polaris is the brightest star in the constellation of Ursa Minor. Playing with the star's theme: I went for a dark blue to represent the night sky, then a turquoise stripe to represent the Aurora, and a red star as a contract colour to dark blue and turquoise (Also the Aurora turns a red colour the more South it appears). Then the white star as the Polaris star.

Purposely left the aircraft registration (and country's flag) empty as I didn't know where to base the airline.

Any feedback is always appreciated! Soon I will continue to post real-life liveries.

not gonna bitch about coincidences like how everyone on this site does but just a heads up: http://www.airline-e...30-300-polaris/

Thanks for the heads up, didn't know that the name was used here before. Not surprised though, it's a short and catchy name.

I submit my earlier claim http://www.airline-e...i-superjet-100/

In any case it doesn't really matter, your design is beautiful! Beats my old thing definitely.
