After its founding in 2009, BritExpress had initially operated out of airports in Scotland and Northern England, with little service in the South. However, as the fleet grew rapidly between 2010 and 2013, the airliner began first domestic service and then international flights out of Birmingham, Southampton, and finally London City. In 2016, BritExpress introduced a new brand identity, still using different shades of green but now arranged in the form of rhombuses forming a pattern on the tail and rear fuselage. The titling was also modernized and refreshed. Also in 2016, the regional carrier's first jet type - the Embraer E190 - was brought into service, with the sub-fleet eventually expanding to a total of ten E190s, mainly based out of London City and Manchester. One of these E190s is shown here along with an ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-600.
