After the introduction of the 777-200ER, other widebodies in the fleet were reconfigured to the new interior. This included the 747-400s - the fifteen delivered from 1997 onwards all came with the new config from the factory, while the 18 already in the fleet at that point were all reconfigured before 1999. The aircraft shown here, N722GA, was the third plane to be delivered already in the new config, joining the fleet in late 1997. The new 747 configuration included fourteen First Class seats - the same ones as introduced on the 777 - and fifty Business Class seats, in a 2-2-2 setup on the lower deck and 2-2 on the upper deck. In addition, there were also 394 Economy seats, which also featured the improved looping IFE system first introduced on the 777.
