In 2013, the Dhahran Royal Flight introduced a new livery, standardizing the way all the aircraft in the Royal fleet are painted. At the time, this included four A310-304HSCs, two originally delivered as VIP aircraft, and two - including A9-KDN shown above - converted from passenger aircraft, as well as one 747SP and a variety of Gulfstream jets. The largest aircraft in the Royal fleet at the time (as well as today) is A9-VRR, the 747-400 originally delivered to Royal Dhahrani Airways in 1999, and converted to a VIP configuration in 2007. The new livery, applied in 2013 to all aircraft in the fleet. It features light gray tones, understated flag placement on the tail, a royal purple and gold cheatline, more purple and gold on the winglets, and coats-of-arms on the engines and by every door.

Disclaimer: This project is designed to look at the progression of aviation in a more-or-less generic fictional Middle Eastern state. The fictional Kingdom of Dhahran is located near the real Saudi Arabian city called Dhahran, but has no affiliation with it, and the name is a coincidence. Any other similarities to real people, locations, or situations may be intentional. I have zero knowledge of Arabic, so while I have spent considerable time trying to get it right, mistakes are possible, and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yep, I already realized that I should probably show the livery off on that too so the upload is already scheduled
