Widebody Seat Maps | 2010

This image shows the seat maps of the A330-300s, 777-300ERs, and A340-600s in the Dhahrani fleet as they appeared in 2010. The A330-300s were still in the configuration they were delivered in between 2006 and 2008. This featured the airline's old First Class product - eight fully flat, forward-facing seat with an ottoman/buddy dining seat but very little privacy, as well as the old Business Class - seventy angle-flat seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, and 245 Economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. Used on European, Asian, African, and a few North American routes the A330-300s were a common sight in many airports around the world. All seats featured AVOD entertainment systems.

The newly-delivered 777-300ERs instantly received the status of the airline's flagship. They were fitted with a brand-new First Class product: twelve fully-flat seats in a spacious reverse-herringbone configuration, buddy seats, and massively improved privacy. Dhahrani had always prided itself on staying ahead of the curve, and it was embarrassing to have fallen behind other carriers in the First Class competition, so the new product was a point of immense pride for the airline. A new Business Class product was introduced on the 777 as well, with much wider seats and increased pitch. While it was still seven-abreast on the 777, the seats were significantly wider than on the A340s and A330s, and the bed - while still angled a few degrees - was so close to flat as to almost be unnoticeable. Fifty-six of these seats were installed on the 777s, meaning they actually had less Business capacity than the A330-300s. Economy Class on the 777 was in a spacious nine-abreast configuration, again with wider seats than on previous types, completely redesigned ergonomic cushioning, and adjustable headrests. The Economy capacity of Dhahrani's 777-300ERs was 325, for a total passenger capacity of 393.

After the introduction of a new brand identity and interior product in 2010, the airline's A340-600s were all reconfigured with the new interiors before the beginning of the 2011 summer season. Slightly narrower versions of the First Class seats were used (because of the A340's narrower fuselage), and Business Class was six-abreast instead of seven (also due to the narrower fuselage), however the First and Business Class capacity was 12 and 56, respectively - just like on the 777. All Economy Class seats were replaced with the same newly-designed ones as installed on the 777s - more specifically, 283 of them. The total capacity of the new A340-600 configuration was therefore 351, which was actually eleven more than when they were delivered in the early 2000s. The fact that the A340-600 had very similar range capabilities to the 777-300ER, as well as the same exact First and Business capacity, but fewer Economy seats, meant that it was often used on more premium-heavy routes with less Economy demand - for example, London and Washington DC.
