States West Airlines introduced the A220 (then designated C-Series) in 2016 as a replacement for its ageing fleet of Boeing 717 and MD-90 aircraft. Configured with 12 StarClass and 118 StatesClass Recaro-designed seats, the aircraft offer personal seatback entertainment and in-flight wifi. By 2020, States West plans to retire its last 717s and operate an all A220 mainline fleet.
