staraustralia's subsidiaries

With the first commencing operations in 2006, staraustralia now has 4 sister airlines. While none are as large as the Australian company itself, they still play a vital role in making air travel more accessible in the areas they fly.

starpacific is the newest of the subsidiary airlines. It was founded in 2016 and started flying in January 2018. Based in Nadi, the company's goal is to lower prices in the islands of Oceania. It currently operates 4 A319s, transfered from staraustralia.

starvietnam used to be a small domestic airline in the country operating old 737 Classics, before staraustralia's parent company purchased it and turned it into an affiliate carrier in 2008. As one of the first LCCs in Vietnam it has managed to solidify itself in the market, providing service to many secondary airports in Vietnam. It currently operates 8 A319s, 27 A320s and 9 A321s. staraustralia plans to allocate up to 30 A320neo family aircraft to it.

starjapan was formed in 2012 as the star group saw that there was a gap in Japan's market. With its 28 A320s and 3 A320neos it currently operates domestic routes only, but the pending arrival of an additional 11 A320neos, 16 A321neos and 4 A321LRs will allow it to expand outside of Japan.

starsingapore is the first sister airline to staraustralia, and currently the largest. It used to be an ACMI airline operating 7 A320s. Now it serves as one of Singapore's largest airlines, with a fleet of 45 A320s and 17 A321s. While no formal order has been made yet, the star group is expected to allocate some A321LRs to starsingapore, as it plans to firm up part of its options for the neo family.

All aircraft operated by a star group airline fly in the same all-economy configuration using the same seats, to allow for easy transfer between airlines depending on demand.
