Svensk Flygfart AB McDonnell Douglas MD-81 Livery 1982-1996 "Gustav II Adolf"

The company changed its branding for the first time in 1982, by adopting a more recognizable logo and a more easy-to-remember name in "SFAB". Which in practice was just the spoken abbreviation everyone already used...
This branding alteration was made at the same time as SFAB underwent a major renewal of its short to medium haul fleet, replacing its aging 727s with MD-80 aircrafts, and its early DC-9s with newer DC-9 models. This made the carrier's short to medium haul fleet in the 80s almost fully manufactured by McDonnell Douglas.
