In 1968, when LAP placed an order for 10 747s, they couldn't have known that it would become such a Portuguese icon. Since the approach path of Portela Airport in Lisbon is positioned right over the city center, every Lisboetan (thats how people of Lisbon are called) recognised the giant beasts casting shadows over the city center. Thats why every belly of every LAP/Air Portugal aircraft has a big "We love you" sticker attached to it. It was a way to connect with the people during the time of the autoritarian regime in Portugal. The 747s were named after big rivers in Portugal, with the first being baptised "Tejo", which is Lisbon's and Portugals lifeblood. Its from that river the great Portuguese explorers departed on their world-changing voyages.
Ooo... Now we are talking! Nice going.
I just think you committed a lil typo on the fuselage.
