Brasileira had operated the A350-900 beginning in 2017, but in August of 2018 the airline took delivery of its first A350-1000. The aircraft was designed to replace the heavily aged 777-300s and -300ERs, some of which were almost 20 years old at the time. The A350-100 was delivered with a new business class product, featuring 34 spacious Vantage Suites with fully closing doors. The A350-900s, as well as 777s and 767s in operation at the time, were all configured with non-enclosed Vantage and Vantage+ seats. Brazilian wood and leather was used in the outfitting of the suites, which were designed and configured as part of a ten-month-long interior redesign process conducted by Brasileira and the Brazilian design agency FonsecaCruz. The new A350-1000s also featured 25 Premium Economy and 264 Economy seats, with 40" and 35" of pitch, respectively.
