Brasileira is Brazil's flag carrier, established in in the 1960s and operating an extensive domestic route network as well as many international routes, primarily out of Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, and Brasilia. As a long-time Boeing customer, it had been operating Boeing 767s since the 1980s, and was a launch customer for both the -200 and -300 (both non-ER) 777 variants, as well as the 767-400ER. The 777-300 shown at the bottom of the image, PP-LDD, was the fourth delivered to the airline, entering service in 2000. The 767-400ER at the top of the image, PP-BMA, was the very first to enter service with Brasileira (and the fourth in the world), delivered in 2002. With their similar ranges, both types were used to operate long-range routes to North America, Africa, and Western Europe, as well as some shorter range but high demand routes within South America.

Both aircraft are shown wearing the 1997 livery, introduced to mark the entrance of Brasileira into the Worldwide alliance, of which it was a founding member along with Air Suomi and Pacific Western. This livery lasted for almost two decades.
