A220-100 (CS100)

A220-100 (CS100)

Oh what could have been.

Following talks to expand YTZ by 600 feet, Beaver put in a preliminary order of 15 CS100 aircraft. This addition to the fleet would have opened up destinations across the Atlantic, pairing downtown Toronto with London City, Paris, Madrid, and Rome. It also would have allowed service to the Caribbean, allowing direct flights from downtown to Cancun, Jamaica, and others. If expansion of the airline continued, YTZ-LAX would have been possible.

Alas, with the government stopping the runway expansion, this order was never finalized, leaving the company in limbo about it's expansion plans.

    This is really nice!

Sidenote, too bad they didn't actually expand YTZ...

I think it's too ambitious to fly transatlantic with CS100. The aircraft is more profitable in shorter routes. Anyway, airlines with big expansion plans should just move to bigger airports. That's the most logic thing to do.

I think an A330 would look nice in this livery. I like this too.

    omg i love this

Sure is.  Lookin' at you, Garneau.... :|

Nah, they'll be used across the pond for sure.  They'd be better at it than BA's A318s, that's for sure.

    Thaaaanks!

I’ve got a 330 made up, but I’ll have to redo the branding/background a bit for it.
