    That metallic finish is gorgeous!

    yes it sure is!

Glad if you think it is. I multiplied the effect layer by 2.6.
Anyway, the real problem of making this is actually to find the right flying lady with all the details.

Only gripe; missing the red wingtips.

You have also used the previous version of the Virgin logo on the tail (the one with the fuzzy, almost brush like edges), but you can hardly notice it so I'll let you off :P

    Red wingtips added.

Logo comes directly from virgin.com, so I believe it's the latest. Probably they use a more simplified version for the livery.

You let me off anyway, so I leave it like that.

Great re-creation work! I might add that the registration font seems a bit bold, but that's serious nitpicking.

Maybe you can play a bit more with the effects to give it an even more metallic vibe, not by just adding a further layer but by changing the blending mode as well. This might be a bit extreme (and not original, that's beside the point), but here's something I've been working on lately, to showcase how far you can push it:

EDIT: the colours seem a bit more bland on here than what I get on my Photoshop, but you get the point.

I did use metalize effect (pain.net) but I kept it as subtle as possible because it gave rather extreme result. I adore you for going that far. I would just stop when I think it looks good enough.
For the registration, I believe I set the kerning a bit too narrow. My default registration font has very wide kerning that I have to manually adjust every time I use it, and of course the fuselage rounding made it look stocky. I hope you'd let me off with that too :P
