LibertyConnect "Puddle Jumpers" poster
LibertyWings regional subsidiary, LibertyConnect, was founded back in 2004 to boost the airline's domestic presence, connecting small, hard to reach cities to hubs and focus cities across the country. The airline chose regional carrier FreeSkies to operate all flights and aircraft. They started out with CRJ-200 and ERJ 140/145 aircraft. They quickly expanded their operation to include the CRJ-700 and CRJ-900 aircraft, and as the ERJ-140 was retired, the E-175 and E-190 joined the fleet. The airline considered purchasing Q400 aircraft before then, but deemed the E-Jets more suitable for the role.
Rumors were being spread in late 2018 that the airline would order E2 series aircraft, but no signs of an order have appeared.
