ATR-42-600 (Amakusa Air Bridge operated by Nihon Wings) | JA18NW

Amakusa Air Bridge was established in 1997 as a joint venture between Nihon Airlines and the municipal government in Amakusa, operating flights using a single Nihon Wings Bombardier DHC-8-100 between Amakusa, Fukuoka, and Kumamoto. On the airline's 20th anniversary in 2017, Nihon Wings ordered 20 ATR aircraft, including three ATR-42-600s for the Amakusa Air Bridge Fleet.

JA18NW is painted in a special whale livery that has adorned Amakusa Air Bridge's aircraft since the early 2000s. Carrying 48 passengers, the aircraft flies to major airports such as Fukuoka and Osaka-Itami, promoting Amakusa's image in major Japanese cities.
