Tahitian Nui 787-9

Tahitian Nui's first 787 delivered to the airline this month in the new livery for the airline replacing the former Airbus A330 on the Tahiti Papeete to Los Angeles route. The airline plans to have its entire fleet of A330s replaced with the 787-9 by mid 2019.

The 787-9 order was placed as a result of a deal between Tahitian Nui and Hawaii based Ohana Airways with Ohana taking a 25% stake in the airline in return for financing the deal with Boeing for 5 787s to replace the ageing A330s, the new aircraft will also see a new cabin designed to evoke the islands.

The new livery was designed by local Tahitian designers featuring artwork in traditional Polynesian style.

Now I’d love to see this coming down at LAX :awesome:

    Beautiful

    Even better than the original

    ok wow.

    Wig.

I like the colours, but overall it's quite messy. The first pattern doesn't resemble the ti'i from Tahiti (If that's what they are suppose to be), but a generic Polynesian tiki.

    Sexy !
