1959 | CV-990

Aerostar operated the Convair 990 for 10 years between 1960 and 1970. Although the 707 was able to provide an overall better service, Aerostar used the 990 as a quicker way to get across the country. At the time of its service it was the fastest jet that could carry passengers. In 1970 they were retired due to higher fuel costs and other quick aircraft coming onto the scene.
