Omanwings A220-100 (2007-present)

With deliveries due from late 2018, the A220-100 will become an important member of the Omanwings fleet. First, it will replace the E175 currently in the fleet. Second, thanks to its smaller capacity and fuel efficient engines, it will allow for the opening of new markets previously unaccessible by the larger 737s operated by the airline. With the A220-100 Omanwings will also open flights from secondary airports in Oman, increasing connectivity to these areas.

The A220-100, ordered as the CS100 by the airline, features a comfortable 5-abreast cabin with 18.5'' wide seats at a minimum. Larger windows and quiet engines improve passenger experience, while the airline's choice to add IFE to every seat, like the 737s, will greatly increase passenger comfort on longer flights. High speed WiFi will also be available.

A4O-JK, named City of Athens, is the first A220-100 to be delivered to Omanwings, due to arrive at the Muscat hub in December. It will be configured with 8 Business Class seats in a 2-2 layout with 40'' of pitch, and 95 Economy Class seats in a 2-3 layout with 32'' of pitch. The aircraft will be introduced on the Muscat-Medina route on December 28th.
