Fijian Airways 787-8 (2014 - )

Fijian Airways began operations in 1951 and is the flag carrier and largest airline based in Fiji. From its Nadi hub it currently operates a small fleet and is widely regarded as one of the most luxurious airlines operating today rivaled only by some Middle-Eastern based carriers.

One of the first to equip its long haul fleet with residence style suites these can be found aboard the Boeing 787 providing the finest level of service in the region including the first class lounge 'The Coral Room' at Nadi International Airport featuring world class catering, an award winning spa and salon and one's own personal butler for customers of first class. The airline recently announced a fleet overhaul with the Boeing 737 MAX chosen for short and 787 selected for long haul and flies to destinations as far as Los Angeles and London Heathrow (via Dubai), Hong Kong, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi and regional destinations including Auckland and Sydney.

In 2008 the airline joined Dynasty World Alliance in order to increase its world presence. This also entitles passengers of first class of selected DWA airlines entry to The Coral Room at Nadi International, the airline also has a partnership with fellow alliance member Jumeirah providing worldwide connectivity through its Dubai hub.

The livery was introduced in 2014 and features traditional Fijian tribal patterns covering the tail designed specifically to look striking and different at airports, it also proved to be one of the most complex and expensive to paint.
