Air Portugal - known as AIRPORTUGAL is the flag carrier of Portugal, it was established in 1929 as Portuguese Air Mail (Correio Aéreo Português CAP).
The airline is well known for its extensive number of destinations to S. America and Africa, and with a total of over 95 destinations there are endless opportunities for you. In 2012 the airline's new CEO Carlos Henrique was appointed with hopes of turning the struggling airline into a world class carrier with incredible service. Since stepping into power Henrique has managed to double profits an increase profit margins turning them from red to green.
AIRPORTUGAL will soon receive its first A320NEO family aircraft of which it has 30 on order in a bid to expand it's European presence, the airline is also expected to announce orders for a new wide-body aircraft in the coming days.
