Boeing 747 100

1969 marked the entrance into service of what would become Royal Australian's flagship of the fleet, the 747-100. The first operator outside of North America to take delivery, the 747 opened up long-haul, high density routes from Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. The 747 would become the staple of RAA's long-haul fleet, to this day, with the 747-8i entering service in 2016.

This 747-100 served until 1984 before being scrapped.
