Although aging, RAA has kept the Convair 440 fleet in outstanding shape; this aircraft is RAA's shorthaul workhorse into short runways. RAA is eying recent turbine conversions on this aircraft in order to improve it's performance still. Without a foreseeable replacement, the CV440 fleet may end up in service longer than most of her pilots.
