California Airways is an airline based in Los Angeles, California and was founded in 2010 following the great recession of 2008-2009. It is on track to be one of the fastest growing airlines in the United States.


Its main mission is to connect the rest of world (tourists) with California; therefore, it focuses on establishing international routes across various cities in California. This unconventional method of air service has greatly expanded the selection of international destinations for Californians and Californian destinations for foreign tourists. This does not mean, however, that it is not aggressive when it comes to the domestic market within California and the United States. California Airways is very keen on expanding domestically and has been aggressive in competing with Southwest on similar routes. It is noteworthy, that no other airline has extensive interstate air service as California Airways does.

California Airways offers variation when it comes to pricing, ranging from “Premium Service” to “Get Me to California” (the low-cost option). Passengers can choose how they want to fly. Every seat has touch screen in-flight entertainment systems powered by the latest Android version.
