In 2010, Spitfire put in an order to Airbus for three A319-100LR aircraft. These aircraft will enter service from Toronto and Montreal for vacation destinations that are out of range of the 717, while not needing the capacity of the A321. Spitfire has expanded coast to coast in eight years, and is eyeing entering the trans-Atlantic marketplace; these routes will serve as barometers for that market.
