In 2008, Olympus Airlines declared bankruptcy. The Olympus that reemerged from bankruptcy a year later had become a completely different airline, shelving most of its increasingly unprofitable transatlantic routes and instead focusing on domestic and European routes. To coincide with the change in strategy Olympus updated its branding for the first time in nearly two decades, and by 2011 this livery had been applied to its entire all-Airbus fleet.
