Varig was the first airline in Brazil, stablished in 1927. It was the most iconic airline in Brazil until their decline in the early 2000's, and eventually broken up and the brand sold to Gol Airlines. Now it only flies some routes on behalf of Gol and some planes use the new livery. Hopefully one day the brand will be rescued and developed back to its former glory.

Actually Varig was sold to Gol in 2006 and in 2007 started to use this livery. However, since 2013 they don't use this livery anymore, they operate only as Gol.
