Croatia Airways

Croatia Airways d.d. (Croatian: Hrvatska Aviokompanije) is the state-owned flag carrier of Croatia and the country's largest airline. It was established in 1996 as the successor to the defunct Croatia Airlines, which was forced to suspend operations in 1991 due to the Croatian War of Independence and the subsequent closure of airspace over the country. Since its rise from the ashes of its predecessor, Croatia Airways has grown to become one of the leading airlines of the Balkan region, operating a sizeable route network covering 24 year-round and 25 seasonal destinations in 29 countries. Its primary hub is Zagreb's Franjo Tuđman Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Croatia.
